Just bumped into @sarrahsworld behind mugamma3, hanging out w/ some # streetartists
I like how the cops across the street don’t mind that kids are painting walls right in front of them. That’s really cool & a great opportunity for artists to use the streets as a mode of communication & expression.
What I don’t like is how most artists aren’t taking advantage of this opportunity to create art that is worth while. Art that comments on Egypt’s current political landscape & perhaps even affects it.
No, instead, most artists opt for doing these cliche’d cocacola-happiness type masturbatory “art.” Sigh.
